Owner Woody Johnson announced his new General Manager, Michael Marra. Under Johnson the team has now gone through Groh and Bradway in just three years under Johnson's ownership. Johnson stated that he looks at the young Marra to lead his team for many years. It is believed that Johnson signed Marra to a five-year deal, what Bradway was looking for.
Marra stated that his first order of business was to meet with Coach Herman Edwards, who has expressed discontent about the change, and to evaluate personnel.
The team must address some player issues, the signing of Coles, Thomas, and Chad Morton were mentioned as key issues. Along with the decisions of some veterans, particularly Vinny Testaverde who lost his starting job to Pennington and LB's Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones. The team will also look at what to do in the up and coming draft as well as free agency that begins March 3rd.
