Maassluis Versus Ann Arbor Preview
"No nonsense, the odds look the other way, but if we stay away from turnover battle field, we have our chances". Harold Hurtado, the big man on offense against Paris with 5 key run blocks tries to keep his men hopeful to win games. Justin McDavid's job is at stake as his fumblitis has cost he Merchantmen serious chances to win games. At -14 at the turnover tables, 6 worse then the second worst, it's clear where the Merchantmen are losing their games. Hurtado: "Guys like Cody [Cluff], Dennis [Preciado] and the defensive linemen can get things done, keep the opposition out of the end zone." Fans are especially awaiting Randy Harris' fourth touchdown run, after scoring only three times before this season, racking them all up against Gothenburg and taking the IHOF single season record for now. Harris: "If Frederic [Vargas] can get his speed in place, we might not miss Bryce [Ewald] as much as anticipated." Bryce Ewald is the only player on the Merchantmen roster unavailable for the game against the heavily favored Anachronism. The fans are aware of Ann Arbor's thrashing of the Fairbanks North Stars, until last week the heavily favored team to take the league title, but Ann Arbor finds themselves returning into the mix. If the Merchantmen can pull off the sensation, people will talk about it the rest of the year, independant of remaining victories in coming weeks. It's time to get rid of the image of top favorites to draft # overall in 2005...
