It's McDavid or Lyon all over.
With McDavid's preseason stats, I think keeping him ain't stupid. I don't want to rush Lyon into another injury behind a line I am not very happy about. And critical is McDavid's sudden non-fumbling. Maybe it's the roll of the dice going his way, but I tell you, next Sunday and Monday will be about McDavid and Lyon as if the preseason discussion never happened.
Actually, I find it pretty amazing (and amusing) to see McDavid being the winning QB, even though the defense has been the reason why we didn't lose. If we can stop opponents in the red zone like we did last year, this defense could be more of a top10 defense then I expected.
I'd almost suspect VPI to reload the game to give the Merchantmen a 2-0 record with McDavid starting to get the story continued...
