Day 5
Ahhh, my messed up sleeping schedule...good times! I work a job that's second shift like 90% of the time, AND I haven't worked a first shift in over two months, so my brain gears towards the late nights/late sleep-ins. Good times. However, I have to open on Monday (ARGH!!!), so I need to work my way back to a semi-normal schedule.
Tonight's first session will be a freeroll tournament with some other FOFC guys. We're all in a big chat room, discussing the happenings and such. Playing for "fun" online kinda blows. People are such asses and go all-in all the time. It really bugs me. Where's my real money limit game?

If this makes me mad, I may just quit and go play at my normal tables. I think no-limit is awesome and I'd love to learn it better, but I won't improve that much at these tables (at least until it gets down to the "better" players).
Yeah, I hate free games now. I can't play them. I guess the strategy is to just duck for a lot of the hands and let the goobers sling mud. I let a dude sling mud right in my face, and I lost almost all my money. I think I'm out of this tourney, cuz it's not that fun "ALL-IN!!!" and I won't learn much (if anything). I wonder if the huge tourneys with a $5 entry fee are any better. That would be a learning experience and an almost definite donation
Okay, enough of the free stuff, time to play for real. I'd love to play vs the FOFC'ers at a fun table if we could make it a private one (sigh).
Day 5, Session 1:
First Session: Won $.09
Avg. Players 7
Biggest win: $.72 Four 7's
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 69 hands and saw flop:
- 8 out 10 times while in big blind (80%)
- 9 out 11 times while in small blind (81%)
- 15 out 48 times in other positions (31%)
- a total of 32 out of 69 (46%)
Pots won at showdown - 5 of 10 (50%)
Pots won without showdown - 1
Overall: Up $5.10
Overall thoughts:
A decent session, but not that good. Hey, if I'm not losing money, it's always a decent session

I played too many hands as my numbers indicate, but they were slightly inflated because half my session was played with a smaller table. I wish the tables were always full (10 people). That'd help me a lot. Otherwise, this was a kinda mundane session, with the exception of the four sevens, which was the highlight of my real-money week. Good times. I think that's all for tonight. I have to work first shift on Monday, so the next two nights' games may also be limited...
Individual hands:
Off to a quick start after my pocket 9's turns into a set on the flop. I only win $.20, as none of the jerks stay in long enough for me to get money. C'mon! There was a freaking King on the flop! BOO!!!
I hit a flush on the river, but there wasn't enough money in the pot (because the table dropped to like, 4 players that hand), so I only snagged $.22. Later on, I get AKo, but get no love on the board, except for THREE jacks which gives my opponent a full boat. Lousy pocket pairs when they're not mine.
Random hand note: I saw three queens on the flop, that was a first. Too bad I had a 25o that I folded
Yeah, I can't get the stench of 15 minutes in a free game off of me. I just hung in a AQo pre-flop hand way too long. The flop comes 457s and I'm screwed. I then bet TWO times before getting out. The dude ending up winning with trip 5's. I dunno what I was hoping for by staying in. One bet maybe, to steal the pot (since I was leading off and had just raised pre-flop).
Finally, I flop a pair of A's and bet out to bring myself back to even overall with a $.33 win. I'm trying this new paragraph per hand concept, to try and make each individual thought clearer. I thought the other way was kinda messy/cramped. This will be longer, but should be clearer. Let me know if it sucks
I flop two-pair (Q's & J's), which is a great hand. I beat the other person after he called me the whole way (which bankrupted him good!).
These small tables are making me mad. Know what makes me even madder? THREE straight pre-flop awesome hands that turn into crap. It's like, THREE times, I have a solid hand and THREE times the flop is suited. WTF?!?!? So angry. The worst was when I had pocket kings and the flop was like 568s. So so awful. Yeah, it happened again, and the table only has 5 people, so I'm moving to a bigger one. I hate it when tables super-shrink on me. It totally kills my whole strategery.
HOLY CRAP!!! WHAT A START TO THE NEW TABLE!!! It's like, welcome to the table KingNeb...I check with a 79s, then I flop trip 7's!!! WOW!!! I get some players (who even raise me), then the turn comes which makes me drop my jaw. FOUR SEVENS!!! AWESOME!!! I got the "nuts" now, so I raise the dude, who only calls me. The crappy river comes and the jerks only call me. I crush their souls of course

That's the 2nd best hand I've ever had in holdem (best was a 5-9 straight flush for "fun"), so I guess that's my "official" BEST HAND EVER! STOP THE PRESSES!!!

Ah well, it only gets me $.72, but it gets the bad taste of the last table out of my mouth.
Man, my flop % is way too high, over 50% right now. Part of that is because I've had some really nice pockets and I'm still in the fallout of such a small table. Most of it is caused my blind %'s, which are 88% combined.
Bless you A-high flush! I win this round and take home $.53. Didn't get a chance to re-raise until the river, so I only got an extra $.04 (argh). The table had like a 4578s, which scared the hell outta me. I had the ace, but feared the 6 of diamonds. Who would stay in that long with that stinking card though?
AKo pre-flop, which gets everyone to max out and have $.30 in pre-flop!!! But sadly, the highest card on the board is a queen, and some jerk wins with a pair of Q's. If only there had been a frickin' overcard for my dominant hand!!!

I did fold after the turn was no help, so that was good play by me (facing a raise&re-raise). Wow, the table is about full now (finally), just in time for me to heat up some late dinner.
Some jerk just slow-played me with pocket aces when I had a pair of Q's with an ace kicker. That shoulda been my pot...lousy pocket aces
Yeah, I'm hungry so that's enough for the night.
