General Manager Notes
We stayed in the game, we did, but we gave it away by not making big plays on offense. One touchdown with 30 minutes of ball possession is too little. Especially if your opponent relies more on their offense then their defense.

Perhaps the experiments all failed, but two of those had to be made. Our OL looks like a strainer when Hurtado doesn't play. Now I know that Hurtado has to be 100% healthy to be able to lead his men well. Reiser did okay with 37 yards receiving and O'Reilley just had no chance against better opposition to get open.

Week 9 European Division In Action
Bordeaux did what they had to, Fernando Ramsey kept his nerves in control and with two last second field goals handed Bordeaux a 16-13 victory over Maassluis.

Gothenburg came back strong after a week of wounds healing and watching football rather then playing. The Georgia Gridlock were an easy victim and Jerry McGee rumbled for 142 yards to inspire the Giants to a big 30-13 victory.

Paris faced the highly touted Conyers Condors. For the third time in three weeks, the birds struggled against a European team, yet snapped their losing streak with two last second field goals (in both halves). They Musketeers gave away a 13-0 lead to lose 13-16.

European Division Standings
6-2 Bordeaux
4-4 Gothenburg
3-5 Maassluis
1-7 Paris

Upcoming Games
Bordeaux - Going to Tucker means they will face a team that rushes more then passes. The Tigers had a similar escape against the Merchantmen, but didn't outgain them i yardage at a 3 to 2 ratio. The Merchantmen management expect to see the Vineyards to improve their "W" figure.

Paris vs. Gothenburg - A game between two teams led by young quarterbacks. Duane Davis looks more mature, but Mario Hudson's showing so far is impressive for a rookie. With their latest showing, Paris looks ready for their second win, but Gothenburg looks strong enough to have a 6-2 second half of the season.

Maassluis - Play on the the road in the All-Dutch derby. Why the name, is Orlando a former Dutch colony? No, the name comes from the Knights' general manager's nickname as Dutch. The Dutch team are clear underdogs in a game where Israel Mars hopes to surpass Huey Gervais in rushing yards.

Projected Standings After Week 10
7-2 Bordeaux
5-4 Gothenburg
3-6 Maassluis
1-8 Paris
