General manager notes
Well, we tried again and failed, again. Alvin Causey doesn't want to sign any contract we offer him. It looks like he will become our franchise player afterall and we hope to get a deal dome with him by then. We also tried to get Lincoln Gilmore, our strong safety, to sign a deal keeping him around until 2007, but he denied the deal. Harold Hurtado said "no" to a contract that would give him 1 million more as of now and a 3M signing bonus, but for some reason he'd rather get it spread out over the future seasons.
In deed we struck three deals of trades, but as they are not official until IHOF Bowl II is played, we won't announce them yet. I can tell you that two expensive backups were dealt and we also did something about our draft situation in 2006 and 2007. There are still some negotiations going on and after that we hope to be able to present five new players to the fans and press, as well as showing an improved situation for the 2006 draft.
