Tiger Whipped!

Cincinnati, OH - The Jets arrived in Cincinnati high off their victory over Baltimore last week to take on the Benglas, losers of three straight.

The Bengals blew out the Jets 34-7, in perhaps the most lopsided game under the Jets new regime. The Bengals outplayed the Jets in all areas. The running game of the Jets floundered for a mere 71 yards, on 26 carries, while the defense gave up 221 yards.

Kevin Mawae was frustrated with the performance, "We just got our butts kicked, we are a better football team than this, I don't know what else to say."

McGregor said that all week the staff was stressing to them that they were going to have to be up and ready for the Bengals, that this team has been struggling, and are fighting for their season, if we the Jets were not ready they would be in for a long day. Well, apparently the message did not get across to the team. McGregor even shaked up the lineup to try and spark them. Second year defensive tackle, Ty Warren, who has been struggling was benched for Cornelius Griffin, a move that did not work out well. The Benglas attacked the middle of the Jets defense led by their rookie center, Nick Seitze, who was blowing Griffin and Ferguson off the ball all day.

This was the second week in a row the offensive line struggled to provide running lanes for Curtis Martin. The Jets are combing the transaction wires hoping that a right guard becomes available. If not, they may have to work around Machado, or the rookie, Christensen. On top of that starting left guard, Travis Claridge is out for the next game against New England.

On the defesive side of the ball the Jets will be without their playmaking safety Tyrone Carter. The Jets will move McGraw from Free Safety to Strong Safety and start Derek Pagel at the Free spot.

The Jets are home for the 2-3 Patriots, believe it or not the Jets are a 1 point favorite.
