Behind the scenes:

TE Seth Hackett's 7 TDs leads the NFL, while our 81 power rating is technically #1. The top 4 power ratings in the NFL all belong to UMVC teams, as does number 6. Only Garnavillo falls below a 70 in power rating. Yikes.

Though we didn't protect Ingram well, and though he didn't pass particularly well (as we expected), we did get a big push from our running game, particularly Eppbright. This put Ingram in the place where his 3 TDs were 5 yards or less. Defensively, we did admirably, holding Lima to only those 2 big plays and minor gains. Safety Hunter Flynn didn't nab an INT, but for the second time this season, the game ended on a DE Kennedy Eisenbraun sack. He seems to get stronger as the game goes on. He's also the one who caught Lima on Lima's 38-yard gain. Assuming Lima stays with Garnavillo, he will be a key enemy to watch in years to come.

Big news around the UMVC: Cresco-ND demolished Lansing (about time those boys came back to earth), and Valley of Elgin upset North Winn to give us some breathing room. We now have a 2-game lead on the conference (will we meet our objective in the first year???)

Next week: We host the hot Cresco-Notre Dame squad. We squeaked past them with a 3-point victory at their place last time. Cresco doesn't have much of a running attack (though they ran for 200+ on us last time), but they boast an even better 3rd down offense than us (they're #2, we're #3) and a staunchy defense. Thankfully, they are beat up badly, especially on defense, so we stand a good chance of outscoring them again.

Injuries: Our offense is intact again, DE Eisenbraun is healthy, and our secondary leaders, Senior Safety Roosevelt Clements and freshman CB Sean Vetter both return for this game. Our top linebackers are out of commission, however, so we'll see how they run.
