As his senior campaign rolls on he will start fielding offers from the top programs in the nation. The first school to call was one of the most prestigious in the nation, the University of Southern California Trojans. Bullock has thought about the dream of moving far away to the other coast to play for a team like USC, UCLA or even Cal, but he knows it’s a long shot. Anyway, the call from Pete Carroll was no surprise and it is the first of many. They talk for a while and Coach Carroll hints that he and an assistant coach are going to come to a game to watch. The fact that he would travel all the way across the country just to see him play does mean a lot.

As mentioned, Billy wants to stay close to home and here is a list of colleges in proximity to his home. He practically lives on the University of Temple campus but doesn’t envision playing for the Owls.

Temple (5 miles)
Rutgers (45)
Navy (106)
Army (107)
Maryland (122)
Penn State (151)
UConn (193)
Syracuse (215)
Virginia (231)
West Virginia (256)

Billy’s week five game in front of a packed house that included Mr. Pete Carroll saw him take over, carrying the ball (and the team) 36 times for 267 yards and 4 TDs. He also caught 5 passes for 68 more yards and another score. On defense he made 11 tackles from his safety position and recorded a half of a sack.

Here are his combined numbers from the first five games of his Senior year:
Code:
att. yards avg. TD Rushing: 171 1,269 7.42 18 rec. yards avg. TD Receiving: 16 406 15.6 4 tack sacks INT Defense: 42 2.5 2

No calls after this game but Coach Carroll was undoubtedly impressed with what he saw. He came into the locker room after the game and addressed the team for a nice performance and had a sit down with Billy, his parents and his coach. They talked for a while and it was productive. Coach Carroll said he would set aside a day for Billy to come visit the campus in Los Angeles, everybody said it wasn’t a sure thing but that he would definitely consider.
