Overview

The regular season comes to an end and the E&H women finish with a record of 9-5 (5-2 in ODACs), and the men finished the season 4-8 (2-3 in ODACs)

Initially, in the preview for this event I noted the Brett was supposed to swim the 200 IM and the 100 Breast, well as it turns out that's not what happened. Somehow Brett got tagged as the swimmer who would do the gauntlet by Coach Cody. Apparently, Cody makes all his swimmers do this at least 1 time during their career with the team. The gauntlet consists of swimming the 800 Free, 200 IM, and 400 Free all in one event. This is the most race yardage a swimmer can do in a dual meet (given the 1650/1500 isn't generally contested in a meet of this type). Brett actually did pretty well:

800 Free - Brett managed to go 11:30.30, which isn't a great time, and he admitted as much, but it is the 3rd time he swam this event this season and it is a season's best time by 12 seconds.

200 IM - posted a 2:40.35 which was also a season best swim with a 4 second improvement over his previous best.

400 Free - another mid distance free swim that still isn't as strong as his times when he was swimming year round, but another season's best and an improvement of 2 seconds - 5:20.31

All 3 swims were season bests, and the first one was the 800 free, which means the last two might have been even faster if he hadn't been fatigued from the 800. Hope this means good things at ODACs
