Emory & Henry - ODAC Championships - DAY 1, FINALS RESULTS

200 Yard Free Relay

- 6) E&H Women (1:48.81) - Tunstall, Sweigart, Mumpower, Anson - reworked relay for finals paid off with a 1:43.82 time and a 4th place finish. - 30 points

- 7) E&H Men (1:37.38) - Gardner, Henningsen, Madaris, Justice - Brett gets pulled before finals, which I expected. and the team climbed all the way to 5th - 1:34.41 - 28 points

200 Yard Individual Medley

Women
- 13) Tunstall (2:20.32)
- improved from the morning and even dropped below her prelim seed time finishing in 2:19.59, but she wasn't able to improve on her 13th place finish in prelims. - 4 points
- 23) Sweigart (2:21.87) - she couldn't match her time from the morning posting a 2:22.72 and finishing 16th - 1 point

50 Yard Freestyle

Women
- 6) Anson (24.45)
- finished 5th with a 24.29 - 14 points

Men
- 13) Justice (22.12)
- like Gardner in prelims, Justice missed the wall on the turn, and again the officials failed to notice it. He posted a 23.05 and settled for 16th place because of it. - 1 point

400 Yard Medley Relay

- 5) E&H Women (4:36.98) - Anson (back), Sweigart (breast), Tunstall (fly), Scarbrough (free) - The free sprint specialist Anson was forced to move to back in order to maximize the team's time, and it paid off...they finished in 4:12.38 and 4th place - 30 points

- 5) E&H Men (4:01.80) - Madaris (back), Breeze (breast), Henningsen (fly), Gardner (free) - the same team from the morning, but the overall time was much better with them stopping the watches at 3:56.36. Brett improved significantly from his morning swim posting a time of 1:05.87, this again would easily be a personal best swim, by A LOT. Unfortunately, even though the team improved, one of the other teams that sandbagged the prelims, passed them in the standings and the boys ended up 6th. - 26 points

Session 2 Overview

Brett had very little to do in the second session, but his breast stroke in the relay was strong and that swim created some excitement for Saturday.

The team did well on the first day of competition.
