Late, late Saturday night, March 6, 2032
It’s about midnight, and I don’t have much time to write, but we did win today!! We crushed those Wildcats from UA 90-61. It was an amazing game for reserve PF Othella Williams. Big O, as we like to call him, scored 20 points in about 20 minutes after our post starters got into foul trouble. Leki had 18 to help us cruise… We were up 48-23 at halftime…
We’re off to watch game film on Stanford (3) for a couple more hours. They beat Washington State 77-76 in a thrilling semifinal game. We’re hoping they don’t have much left for us. I desperately want to win my first Pac-10 tourney title here at Cal!! We’ve been so close before… There’s nothing like cutting down the nets after a championship, though my players may opt not to cut down the nets just yet. They want to wait until bigger and better games. I say, if we win, cut ‘em down. You never know what may happen in the future...
Again I ask: wish us luck tomorrow against Stanford (and no injuries)…
