Statler -
Tucker looks good, San Luis Obispo looks bad.
Cap'n -
What's the solution in SLO? Cut off another finger.
|
|
My Thoughts
We go from playing one of the best teams in the league, to one of the worst. SLO is very young, and really shouldn't give us much of a fight.

My Reaction
Ugh. A win is a win, I guess.
TUCKER WEEK TWO 2012: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
THE GOOD - Good Solution: Shaun “The Solution” Duncan threw for 302 yards and 2 TD's.
- A win is a win, especially when your division foes lose.: Yes, it was ugly, but we're 2-0 and have an early leg up on the rest of the Southeast.
- DEE-fense! DEE-fense! DEE-fense!: After allowing Georgia only 3.9 yards per play in Week One. The defense followed it up with an even better yards per play performance: 3.4 yards per play.
- One Crabb-y Defender.: Leland Crabb turned in 10 tackles, 2 assists, and an interception, and was only on the field for 57 snaps. We were almost ready to write Leland off, and only played him in two games last year.
- The Southern Snow Bombs.: Tyrus Shaye, Harris Douglas, and Forrest Truett all had 90+ receiving yards on the day, and we're the only team with 3 guys with over 150 yards in the young season.
- Who Says A Punter Isn't Worth A 2(1) Pick?: For the second week in a row, Keith Horne buried the opposition inside the 20 3 times.
THE BAD - Bad Solution: Shaun “The Solution” Duncan completed less than 50% of his passes.
- Where Have You Gone, Time Of Possession?: After holding the ball for over 39 minutes last week, we held it less than 23 in week 2.
THE UGLY
All in all, it was a listless performance by the Tigers in front of a sparse crowd against a pretty bad team. Any of our division rivals would have probably beaten us by 3 TD's or more had we played like that against them. This kind of performance will not do in the next three weeks against Boston, Vicksburg, or San Antonio.
Divisional Results & Standings
Georgia got back on track, smashing Anaheim 42-7 on the strength of 328 passing yards by Nate Sutter.
Conyers fell to 0-2, losing 23-20 to a Boulder squad projected by many to finish last in their division.
Orlando also fell, by a 28-6 count to perennial power Fairbanks.
| W | L | Tucker | 2 | 0 | Georgia | 1 | 1 | Orlando | 1 | 1 | Conyers | 0 | 2 |
