TUCKER WEEK SIX 2012: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
THE GOOD- Perfect Solution--Shaun "The Solution" Duncan had the most brilliant game of his young career to date, putting up a perfect 158.3 passer rating as he completed 19 of 24 passes for 354 yards, 4 TD's, and no interceptions.
- A Record-Setting Performance For Shaye--Tyrus Shaye, often derided around the league for not living up to being a 1(1) pick, continues to put aside the words of his detractors. He caught 8 passes for 124 yards, with 3TD's. Those 3 TD's in one game established a new Tucker record.
- Running Game Still Rolling--For the fifth time in six games this year, the Tigers rushed for over 150 yards. R.J. Ellard led the way with 30 carries for 121 yards today.
- What A Difference Halftime Made--Ft. Worth rolled up 24 points and 267 yards of total offense in the first half, but the defense adjusted at halftime, and held the Fury scoreless the rest of the way. Jared Brimberry was held to 4 for 14 passing for 47 yards and 2 INT's in the second half.
- Alcott Steps Up--Will Alcott has another strong outing as a replacement for the injured Loren Goodman. Today, he had 9 tackles, 2 assists, and 2 interceptions.
- From The Scrap Heap To The Limelight, Part Deux--C John Crouch continues to make everyone wonder what division rival Orlando was thinking when they cut him three weeks ago. For the second week in a row, he was successful on more than 50% of his KRB opportunities (5 for 9 today), and gave up no sacks.
THE BAD- Ya Freakin' Thugs!--We had 10 penalties for 78 yards on the day.
THE UGLY
With a stirring win like that, there's not much to complain about.
This win takes LOTS of pressure off of us for the Battle Of Spaghetti Junction against the Gridlock. We'd love to win, but we'd be quite satisfied to go into our bye week at 5-2, and pretty healthy.
