That's a pretty good summary of my feelings as well.
My base thinking right now:
-our best OL are run-first guys at G... and there really aren't any serious passers in this bunch, it seems... so I'd think that a play toward a run-first and controlled passing would make the most sense as the base offense...trouble is, without big bars at accuracy and getting downfield, I fear that the 6.3 version of the short passing offense will be pretty well emasculated (if I'm understanding correctly the people who have been working on this stuff since the latest patches)
-As for defense, I have no real plan -- I have never been really crafty enough to come up with much of a base defensive gameplan other than "don't get caught with your pants down" meaning lots of median expectations and not too much blitzing... I don't have much more creative than that, to be honest (especially for a team that is not an offensive powerhouse)
