Mitsou Akutagawa has been booked for an event for ALPHA-1. He will face Seiji Nakano, a kick boxer from Tokyo, Japan with a 1-0 professional record.

The show will be ALPHA-1: Silva vs. Chua on Saturday, Week 1 of February 2002. They will fight as part of the main card.

Akutagawa is now ranked 15th in the Super Heavyweight division. Nakano is ranked 12th.

Cheng Chu is fighting a local fighter in a small Asian show taking place in Southeast Asia. Chu is 1-0 as a professional. The show is part of the prelims.

The first round begins. Chu lands a jab and a right cross. The local fighter counters but Chu avoids the strikes. Chu lands another right. The two tie each other up and try to throw a few strikes but nothing serious connects. They continue to throw tentative strikes but nothing lands.

Chu steps back to regroup and attacks with a left jab and then a strong leg kick. Chu lands another jab and then a right. They exchange tentative strikes but nothing worthwhile lands. Chu fires a right cross, it looks like that hurt the local fighter, his legs look rubbery. Chu loads up with a right that drops the local fighter to the mat, out cold. It's a knockout.

Cheng Chu wins via knockout at 3:47 of the first round as he improves to 2-0.
