The Supermax was a tough wrinkle but I think even Kemba understood if he didn't get that. To offer a lower AAV than other teams can (5/$160 vs 4/$141) is insulting. And if that was their valuation of him (which is somewhat understandable given his age) they should have talked to him/his agent in February & shipped him out for like a 1st & Lonzo Ball. (Or a similar structure if the Lakers were still locked on AD, but with all their chaos I think they would've traded assets to give Lebron a "star" teammate.) I thought when Rich Cho took over the GM job the Hornets would stop being such a joke, but MJ gonna MJ.
