The third week of May-

The Bantamweight title is on the line as Xavier Firth will be making his first title defense against 9th ranked Reuben Patrick. Firth won the title with a 2nd round TKO against Manny Bionas. Patrick has a 19-9-0(7) record and is not expected to be a big challenge to Firth.

Firth appears to be in better shape, is considered the more accurate puncher and has better defense. Their power is comparable but neither is a big puncher. Both men have good chin’s and Patrick will be probably pressure the the pace of the fight throughout.

The bookies have the odds on Firth at ½ while the odds on Patrick are 13/8. I will have a small bet on Firth to retain the title.

My fighters are gearing up for their matches, and I need to start thinking about what to do when their contracts start to run out.
