Xavier Firth let his fists fly to the tune of a second round KO of challenger Reuben Patrick. Firth it not known as a power puncher, grabbed his 9
th win by KO. Yours truly managed a 15k profit from this fight. It isn’t a goldmine, but it helps to keep the gym running.
The Light Heavyweight title is on the line this week, and it is going to be a great fight!
The Champ, Brendan Lawe, 10-5-0 (9), is defending his title against Jeff Ellery, 19-8-1 (12). Ellery is coming off of a draw against ranked Kelly Schofield. Both fighters look to be in comparable shape. Ellery is the bigger puncher, he is also considered to have faster hands and better defense. He is however, not the champ, and that is what it takes to be on top. Lawe is much better at taking a punch, but Ellery knows how to battle back in a fight.
