FA 1:2 is done. I have a confession.

I had no clue how much to bid on a specific guy. I had a lot of cap space, but so did a lot of teams - this is a zero-injury league. Top cap hit for a WR in the league was around $110M. There's a good but not perfect WR in this FA class...6th year guy, 70/70, does everything pretty well. WR1 for us, and he would have been an affinity, even.

I mull it over, and decide to bid... $92M. I have a knack for getting these pretty close to right, this is a key quiet skill of mine. Here, we missed badly.

Ok, in retrospect, "badly" overstates it. We missed the $140M/yr mark that he got, but my offer was indeed second best. We just got lapped by a guy with crazy cap space and the willingness to blow it all. Okay, then. Can't be that shocked.
