Injuries to both Glover and CB Curry Thompson are serious. Glover has spinal compression and Thompson has severe spinal trauma. I'm not expecting to see either of those guys play another snap this season.

As much of a disappointment as Paul Glover has been in his first year, that has been offset by the joy of watching ILB Bobby Anderson play. We have not had a guy put up big numbers at this position in my tenure so I'm delighted to see him chasing 100 tackles as a freshman. Hopefully he continues to get better.

Here are the Top 10 heading into our USC game:
1. Minnesota (10-1) - ran the table in the Big 10 up to this point
2. Texas Tech (10-1) - really climbed in rankings the last few weeks
3. Michigan (8-2) - I give them credit for bouncing back after two early losses
4. Georgia (8-2)
5. Mississippi (8-2) - four wins against Top 25 teams
6. Miami (FL) (9-2)
7. Oklahoma (8-2)
8. Michigan State (10-1) - are starting to establish themselves as a national power
9. Auburn (8-2)
10. Tennessee (9-2) - another team that has soared up polls in recent weeks

Others of Note:
13. USC (9-2)
15. UCLA (9-2) - game against USC will be 1st for either of us against Top 25 team
18. Texas (6-4) - sub-.500 conference record
19. Syracuse (10-1) - top-ranked team in Big East
23. Florida (5-5) - just idiocy to see these guys ranked
24. Alabama (6-4) - 0-4 against Top 25. So why are they ranked?
