Gossip News: Mess in Maassluis, trades not allowed?
Our salary cap specialists have discovered an interesting article in the IHOF constitution. It seems teams are not allowed to make trades that could aggrevate their cap situation. With the Merchantmen going wild on trades, our experts found out that the Merchantmen are making a mess and have gone from 7.2M over to 7.7M over the cap and would still need about 4M for their rookies. If all is indeed not allowed, the Merchantmen might see themselves backing out of six trades.

We have reason to believe that especially one trade could be lethal and we heard the Merchantmen have asked other teams to postpone trades until the Merchantmen have the cap room to make the trades. Fort Worth, Vicksburg, Syracuse, Orlando and Paris have been contacted, we hear, while San Luis Obispo is rang too as they recently struck a deal with Maassluis to send linebacker Josh Weisberg to Oranje Haven.

The Merchantmen management was unavailable for comment, yet the projected cap situation going from -8.2M to -10.2M is a signal things are not going as they should. And that wouldn't even land the team a single true upgrade to the starting lineups. There are rumors the Merchantmen are about to shop around Leonard Lyon, while Harold Wells has been signaled on the trade block list just minutes ago. Gossip News will keep you updated.
