The FOBL has one opening (Fresno), and we're in the 2064 preseason, just started drafting. This is a great time to join.
2. I have taken over
the PBDL, a promotion/relegation league with 24 teams in 3 leagues, and we have 10 teams available.
It was based on a hockey theme, so every team is named after a NHL franchise, but that's changing.
We just finished the 2044 season and are about to run the arbitration sim. Perfect timing!
Some interesting things about the PBDL:
• The regular season is 84 games. Things move fast, so a bad team today can be good quickly.
• Effective next draft, all three leagues will pick in a combined straight draft (using
Stats+) that lasts 10 rounds. The top 12 picks in the draft are assigned according to the finish of participants in a round-robin style tournament during the playoffs that comprises the bottom four teams in each league (the non-playoff teams).
• A team's revenue will be based on their regular-season placement the previous season, according to the following schedule:
1st place: $10,750,000
2nd place: $10,500,000
3rd place: $10,250,000
4th place: $10,000,000
5th place: $9,750,000
6th place: $9,500,000
7th place: $9,250,000
8th place: $9,000,000
• In addition, playoff teams will get revenue from a playoff bonus pool (GLD = $4m total pool; SIL and BRZ = $2m total pool)
• New owners get one "free release" of an albatross contract. This free release may be used or traded.
