Oh, and a re-watching of Jackie Brown. This is an outstanding movie, and now has a pretty sizable lead in my mind for Tarantino's best movie. The characters are real, the world around them feels real and large, and the acting is absolutely top-notch from everyone involved. This is a movie where a great number of little moments put it over the top. I'm more impressed with it each time I see it. Also quite easily his most "grown up" movie, and I'm guessing the fact that it is adapted rather than an original screenplay has something to do with this. It makes me wonder if he wouldn't be even better with a regular co-writer or an editor he can really take advice from. 8/10.
