Brett was scheduled to swim the 400 IM, 200 Back, and 800 Free, but he wasn’t up to it. After waking him up early, he tried to get going, but finally admitted that he didn’t feel well, and didn’t think he could do it.

Bailey

# 83 Woman 11-12 50 Fly 34.31L – Bailey entered this one hoping to get a AAA time…which would require a swim of 32.79. She was also looking to finish in the top three, which would be no easy task with the two best 11-12 butterflyers in the state swimming against her. In the prelims, she went 33.32 and was seeded fourth going into the finals…and earning her a state cut .

#99 Woman 11-12 50 Breast 50.16L – This event was added…the seed time is a bit misleading, as it had been a year since she swam it…but I was real interested here, because her Breast has been improving significantly this season…and she didn’t disappoint…despite the fact she was in a slow heat (so no one to race), she managed to go 44.15 and finish tenth, qualifying for finals…

# 111 Woman 11-12 400 Free 5:50.33L – After her strong 800 earlier in the meet, she was much more prepared and confident about this swim. She went out much harder and posted a very good 5:13.89…which is a state cut…

# 82 Male 11-12 200 Fly 3:08.69L - Fly was much better for this race and he improved significantly posting a 2:54.40 in prelims. He was seeded third with two other swimmers right on his heals headed into the finals.

# 102 Male 11-12 200 Breast 3:59.95L – A good improvement, but a sluggish swim. He posted a personal best 3:37.24 and was seeded 11…

# 112 Male 11-12 400 Free 5:13.66L - Was automatically swum at finals due to only 10 kids swimming the event…
