The Gabriel Prado Award for 2213 has been presented and the Continental League winner is
Wynn Johnston of
Noblesville.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Johnston. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Millers star told reporters.
Johnston excelled with an impressive 17-5 record in 33 starts. In 216.2 innings he yielded 161 hits and 65 walks, while striking out 169 and compiling a fine 2.58 ERA.

Hartford Riverhawks have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's
Dale Wilbraham, this year's Republic League Gabriel Prado Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.
Wilbraham compiled a 23-5 record in 33 starts, tallied 199 strikeouts in 254.1 innings and recorded a 2.26 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .215 batting average against him.
