Georgia Senior Short Course State Championships @ GaTech - 9/7 - 9/9

Bailey - she's been swimming better coming into state than she has in a while, and while she still has some back pain, it isn't at the level it's been over the last few years. I believe she's in a decent position to have some good swims this time around, and I'm really praying she does. She's worked really hard for basically the last 4 years with very little improvement. She has a tendency to stress herself out at the big meets (I think her desire to do good after years of struggling has a lot to do with that), hopefully she'll enter this meet with some confidence. I've urged her to consider doing a time trial or two in order to try and improve some times in events where she doesn't have state cuts, because she rarely gets to swim events tapered. So far she is resisting, if she ends up swimming any, I'll add those times to the results post.

Bear - he has been working extremely hard heading into this meet but unlike last year when we saw glimpses of his improvement with some PB swims in high school and some small drops leading up to this event, this year he's been off by a decent amount. Hopefully, the taper will allow him to perform at peak level. He really needs a good swim here to help with his recruiting. Bear has cuts in three additional events (100 & 200 IMs, and 1000 Free) that he isn't swimming this time around.
