Heading to Maui (big ugly resort it appears) for an event in October, taking a few extra days on my own. I expect to have little trouble finding outdoorsy/water/nature things to do on that island. I am not a sit-on-the-beach type of guy, but I own sensible footwear and have been known to have a cocktail here or there.
Looking for general advice of course, but my biggest debate is whether it is worth the time/trouble/cost to get to another island. Any thoughts very welcome.
