I'm in Maui in a couple of weeks, so I'll second your ask for recommendations, if people have them. Already rented a Jeep for the Road to Hana drive as everyone I talk to suggests that is a must do, but definitely got a few more open days for activities.
I also took the plunge on heading to Pearl Harbor for a day trip, basically got the earliest Hawaiian Airlines flight out in the morning for an 11am reservation at the memorial and the latest flight back in the evening. I'll let you know how that goes.
