If you think there's next to no chance you'll get back to the islands then consider hopping over to Kaua'i, but you should really give it a week by itself. Part of the fun of those trips is getting to explore all the cool stuff there, and if you only have a day or two then you're really too rushed to see all the stuff worth seeing. Also, part of what makes Hawai'i such a great trip is that it should feel relaxed and relaxing.
