General Update
Well, the potentially promising long course season for Brett has most likely ended. Coming into the this long course season, the times for state cuts in Breast had been dropped by several seconds, to the point that Brett's personal bests in short course when converted to long course times are under the cut requirement.
Unfortunately, we spent last night at Children's health care having Brett's knee evaluated, and the initial diagnosis is a facture on the growth plate of the tibia. We are in the process of setting up a appointment with a specialist and he's not to swim again until that appointment occurs. In addition, the typical healing time for something like this is 4 to 6 weeks, and if he's out of the water that long, his entire Summer season will be lost, as even if he can get into a race before state, he'll be so out of shape, he'll never swim the required times.
Disappointing, but he's taking it well right now...we'll see how he feels in several weeks.
