2026/27 Barclays Premier League - Second Half Results

The second half of our season started with us pasting Liverpool to the tune of 5-0 at Crabble Athletic Ground, with Chiquinho notching a hat trick and backup striker Andy Broomes putting up a brace.

We’d lose our second game of the year to Spurs 2-1 in a shocker on our pitch but would go on a 9-0-0 run to distance ourselves from our competition. We’d get held 1-1 by Arsenal on April 3rd but by then, the division was essentially ours.

We were playing for history in that last month and we’d finish things off in style, winning our last six games, including a 3-1 finale at St. Andrews over Birmingham to finish with a superb 34-2-2 record, setting a new Premier League record for points with 104 to beat our record from last year by a single point.

We were once again Champions!

DOVER WINS THE 2026/27 BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Sanogo continues to produce at an exceptionally high level into his 30s and his 25 goals are one more than our very own Chiquinho. Brito wins English Footballer of the Year while Paul Moses and Benedikt Raab finish second and third respectively.

A huge honour comes in for Neil Cairney, as he reclaimed his starting role at midfield and wins the coveted Players’ Player of the Year award. Chiquinho finished second.

Rogerio wins the Players’ Young Player of the Year award and DC Mwemere Mutesa finishes second.

And finally, I’m able to secure my third Premier League Manager of the Year award for our record breaking campaign.

Barclays Premier League 2026-27 Players' Team of the Year

GK - Manuel Perez, Manchester United
DL - Victor Talavera, Manchester City
DC - Salah Abbes, Manchester City
DC - Mwemere Mutesa, Dover
DR - Capitao, Manchester City
ML - Gontzal Uranga, Manchester City
MC - Neil Cairney, Dover
MC - Mario Brito, Manchester City
MR - Jonathan Bottone, Manchester City
ST - Yaya Sanogo, Manchester United
ST - Paul Moses, Dover

All Dover, United and City here. Great years from Mutesa, Cairney and Moses get them on this coveted list while Chiquinho and Benedikt Raab get honoured with substitute positions on the team.

As indicated, we’d set a new Premier League record with our 104 points.

We scored 95 goals in 2026-27, which was way down from the previous year when we scored an incredible 119 goals. But we only gave up 24 goals, easily our best mark defensively.

Just a superb domestic campaign!
