It really only effects those mid-major teams, but I can't imagine a scenario where the automatic qualifier from the Missouri Valley or the Conference USA team would ever get a 16 seed no matter how bad their record was.

Yeah, I wish there was a version where we could manually seed our own tournament. That's literally the only thing besides modern basketball updates that I'd need to play this game for another 20 years
