Rumors were early this year that it would be Rick Honeycutt's last year as the pitching coach in LA. Or at the very least that it would be coming to an end soon.

Looks like Honeycutt is taking the fall for Roberts in the aftermath of the LA failure, and has been reassigned as a special assistant with the team. The team made not mention of his health and it appears that instead that he is bearing the brunt as both Roberts and Andrew Friedman are staying on with the team next year.

Honeycutt has served the team through 4 managers, and has been one of the most stabilizing features over a 14 year period. He played for LA back in the day and I have to say, this could have been done better.
