Taking a few steps back in looking at the whole college football picture:

The thing that college football has always had over every other sport is that it has the best arguments. Everything from mythical national championships, to the passion people have for their teams, to the fact that many years the two obvious best teams in the country never played each other, college football has always been the place for serious passionate arguments.

And now we have gotten a little meta with the arguments over The changes to the game itself. But what I just realized this morning, is that these arguments are going to be awesome over the coming decades because no one is really going to be able to know anything.

We have four super serious major changes to the sport that are all happening at roughly the same time. The transfer portal. NIL deals. The SEC & Big Ten becoming mega ultra conferences and leaving everyone else behind. And a 12 team playoff. College football is going to change enormously. Some changes for the better, some changes for the worse, and some changes that are just going to be weird. And none of us are going to be able to agree on what causes lead to what effects.

That is the most college football thing of all.
