LSU had 545 yards of total offense, Ohio State had 5 turnovers in the ballgame as the Tigers claimed the 2008 Omnivore CFB National Championship. Jarrett Lee was 24 of 35 with 285 yards passing and 3 TDs (with 1 INT) and Terrelle Prior was 22 of 43 with 291 yards passing with 2 TDs and a pick. Charles Scott rushed for 242 yards on 50 carries in the game with a touchdown, the real difference maker in this game for the Tigers.

What does this exercise teach us?

1) Smaller playoff fields to eliminate fluke wins.

2) Make sure the bracket is rigged to ensure better games later in the field.

3) Parity isn't fun in college football like it is in the NFL.

LSU 37, Ohio State 27
