Baltimore Gothams have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's
Bill McGuigan, this year's Continental League Gabriel Prado Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.
McGuigan compiled a 22-9 record in 40 starts, tallied 129 strikeouts in 262 innings and recorded a 3.81 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .274 batting average against him.
Vachon of Hartford Named Best Pitcher

Hartford bullpen this year and he came through in a big way with 44 saves. That's why
Raymond Vachon was awarded the 2178 Gabriel Prado Award as the top pitcher in the Republic League.
Vachon made 73 relief appearances, logged 85.2 innings, struck out 75 and had a record of 6 wins and 3 losses to go with his 1.37 ERA.
