USC is now 2-2 after a 38-37 loss in Pullman to Washington State. 4 TD passes for Williams. I love it. OK, onto the box score from the Oregon State game.
Despite piling on 54 points the offense was not as crisp. We had only 23 first downs and 420 yards. We surrendered five sacks. These are all nits when the game went as well as it did, but there is definitely room for improvement on that side of the ball.
The defense forced 6 turnovers and held a good team to 226 yards. Only 53 yards rushing. Two defensive touchdowns. At this point I'm worried they are peaking too soon.
Four touchdown passes to four different receivers. Another 100 yard game for Jackson. Another 100 yard rushing game for Dawson.
4 key run blocks for Nick Moore, but he allowed a sack.
2 sacks allowed by freshman OG Perryman.
Defensive touchdowns for McCallister and Simms.
DT Jared Burford had a nice line: 3 solo tackles, 1 assist, 1 stuff, 1 hurry, 2 forced fumbles.
