We are coming up against the Diggers a necromantic team that is just a little worse than us. This will be a slug fest between both teams. I know I am trying to create somewhat of a quasi passing attack with this team and I am paying the price and Nurgle may not like me, but I will get it off the ground so to speak.
I have Shyish running sprints up to the game and you can tell that he is faster than normal.
We are kicking off again and line up with the center gap lineup again and kick the ball deep into the stands on the left side. The diggers line up in a wall. and attack the right side of the field. A flesh golem blocks Yaceteg knocking him down while a Zombie knocks out Shari. Lord Morgus is knocked down by a Flesh Golem as well.
Frantz blocks a zombie knocking him down, Shyish blocks a werewolf knocking him back. Balesk blocks a flesh golem knocking him down and stunning him. Janus pushes back a werewolf while Jek drops a zombie. Ogrus pushes back a ghoul.
War-Ash is blocked by a wight and they move to run up the right side of the field. A wight tries to dodge Jek but is taken down.
Yaceteg and a flesh golem collides neither giving ground. Jek, Orgus and Balesk drop back to cut off the run to the end zone. To-Ash blitzes the lead blocking ghoul and knocks him back and then shifts to the left blocking the running lane. Franz and a flesh golem collide, nothing giving up.
A zombie pushes War-Ash back and a wight injures To-Ash, but To-Ash heals the injury immediately on the sideline. A werewolf tries to dodge Janus and is knocked down for his efforts.
Yaceteg knocks down a flash golem, stunning him.. Frantz knocks back a ghoul. Jek blitzes a zombie knocking him down. Janus blocks a zombie and goes down.
They shift their attack to the center of the pitch. War-Ash is pushed back, Shyish is blocked by a werewolf who goes into a frenzy and pushes him back and then he blocks again sending them both down.
Jek blocks a wight pushing him back while Lord Morgus knocks it down with a thundering blow. Orgus collides with a flesh golem not moving him. Janus gets up and blitzes the ball carrier knocking him back. Frantz drops back to cover the back left side.
A flesh golem attempts to block Orgus and he can't due to his ugly looks. a ghoul blitzes Orgus and knocks him out. A wight blocks War-Ash and knocks him back and they turn their run back to the right side of the field as we shut down the center - left.
Jek drops a zombie. Janus blocks a werewolf and knocks him back and down. Balesk makes his move down the right side of the field towards the ball carrier, if they want to block him it will have to be a blitz. War-Ash blocks a werewolf knocking him back and down. Yaceteg blocks a wight knocking him back. Shyish blitzes a flesh golem knocking him down. Lord Morgus attempts to block a wight and is knocked down.
They are attempting to set up a deep wall on the right side and break a ghoul down the middle. A wight tries to dodge and War-Ash knocks him down.
Jek knocks out a zombie. Yaceteg attempts to block a flesh golem and is knocked down.
They now move to the center of the field. A werewolf tries to block Janus and is knocked down.
Shyish tries to dodge to perform a blitz on the ball carrier and is taken down by a flesh golem
They break through the center and don't attempt to pass while a flesh golem attempts to block Yaceteg and they both go down!
War-Ash attempts a blitz and trips up over his own feet as time expires at the half.
The game is tied 0-0
We set up with the center gap attack which will allow us to choose a side to attack. To-Ash runs down and scoops the ball up. We set up a wall that runs from right to center that will force a wide run on the left to get into the back field. Shyish blitzes a flesh golem and takes him down.
A wight blitzes Yaceteg and knocks him back and down while Jek is pushed back while a zombie knocks down Lord Morgus.
Balesk knocks back a zombie while Janus moves up and closes the gate. Shyish blocks a zombie knocking him back and down. War-Ash blitzes a flesh golem and they both collide with nothing happening.
Joe and Balesk are both blocked and knocked back and down which cleared the way for a werewolf blitz on To-Ash. To goes down and drops the ball and it bounces right into the arms of a zombie but the werewolf goes down too.
War-Ash gets up and blitzes the zombie with the ball blasting him back and down and the ball lands in To-Ash's arms. Janus blocks a zombie knocking him back and down setting up the wall for To. Orgus blocks and knocks down a flesh golem allowing Shyish to break down the center of the field behind the Diggers. Jek blocks the flesh golem knocking him down and badly injuring him.
A ghoul tried to dodge Frantz and is knocked down and badly injured from Franz. To-Ash sprints down the field and hands the ball off to Shyish. Janus blocks a zombie back and Joe knocks back and down a werewold. Yaceteg blitzes a flesh golem and they collide and stay still. Orgus knocks down the flesh golem. Shyish runs the ball into the end zone for a TD!
We score and are now up 0-1!
We line up for the kick off and keep our formation.
It's a high deep kick into the end zone and a ghoul gets under it to catch it and drops it. A flesh golem blitzes Yaceteg and knocks him back and down. Another flesh golem attacks Lorg Morgus and is knocked down and stunned for his troubles.
To-Ash blitzes a flesh golem and knocks him out. Orgus blocks a zombie and knocks him down and back. Shyish blocks a zombie knocking him back, down and stunning him and Jek does the same to a werewolf. Joe blows up a zombie caving in its skull and sending it off the pitch badly injured, but I think I noticed it healing itself on the sideline.
They attempt to set up a wall in the center of the field. A wight knocks down War-Ash while a zombie attempts to dodge Jek and is knocked down.
Orgus blocks a zombie knocking him back and down. Jek blocks a wight caving in the chest cavity of it's armor and sending him off the pitch badly injured. Balesk gets behind the wall and blitzes the ball carrier and smashing the werewolfs collar bone and sending him off the pitch, the ball is fumbled and lands away from him. Frants scoops up the ball and dodges a wight and pushes for the end zone, he stumble at the goal line and falls, fumbling the ball.
The wight in the back attempts to dodge our wall and is knocked down.
Shyish blitzes a ghoul that was attempting to get to the ball and knocks him back and down, stunning him. Frantz attempts to stand up and pick the ball up and bobbles it into the end zone and Shyish runs and jumps on it in the end one. TD! We score with time close to expiring and are now up 0-2!
We line up for the kick off same formation. It's a squib kick and as the ball bounces on the ground and is attempted to be scooped up by a werewolf and bobbled the referee blows his whistle. Thats game!
We win 0-2!!
Our stats for the game was 2 TDs, 7 Tackles, 2 KOs, 4 Casualties, 48 yards running, 2 yards passing, 1 Tackle Sustained, 2 KOs Sustained and 1 Casualty Sustained.
We had the ball 27% of the time. Not much I know but the biggest tell was our wall held up and kept the ball on the Diggers side of the field 82% of the time.
We pick up 70,000 gold in winnings and see 3 players improve. Shyish, To-Ash and Joe add blocking to their skillset.
The win secures our spot into the playoffs but we want to take first seed.
