Bujold Grabs CL Top Pitcher Trophy

Apex Assassins celebrated today after the news filtered through the clubhouse that
Samuel Bujold had been selected as August's Continental League Pitcher of the Month.
Bujold's zest for the game has been a frequent topic on the sports pages and his numbers of late have made his fans even more enthusiastic.
"Our coaching staff really helps me prepare well,"
Bujold said, "and the fans feed off good pitching. Your pitches just seem to have that extra pop to them when the fans are behind you and you feel confident you can get outs."
Bujold tossed 35.2 innings last month, holding opponents to a .208 average while striking out 36 batters. In 5 starting assignments he came away with a 4-0 record, putting together an ERA of 1.01.
This year
Bujold has made 27 starts, thrown 187 innings, fanned 170 batters and walked 59. His won-lost record is 12-6 with a 2.65 ERA.
