We're at the halfway point of the 2012/13 season. That last win was a key one, as it jumped us two places from 3rd to 1st at this halfway mark.

Midseason Standings

1. Woking - 14-5-4 - 47 pts
2. Crawley - 12-9-3 - 45 pts
3. Cambridge - 14-3-6 - 45 pts

5. Forest Green - 11-8-4 - 41 pts
--------------------------

23. Stevenage - 4-2-17 - 14 pts
24. Gainsborough - 2-6-15 - 12 pts

We have 52 goals for, 30 against. The style we play certainly lends itself to this, we have 7 more goals than anyone in the league and a +22 differential is best in the league, but we have also allowed more goals than anyone else in the top 10.

Scoring Leaders

1. Zoltan Harsanyi - Woking - 19
2. Marc Williams - Wrexham - 13
3. Jason Walker - Barrow - 13
4. Luke Powell - Newport Co - 13
5. Wes Fletcher - Accrington - 12
6. Brian Wake - Gateshead - 12

Curtis Main has 9 league goals in just 14 matches(7 starts).

Assists

1. Danny Mitchley - Newport - 11
2. Joe O'Sullivan - Woking - 10
3. Frank Wiafe Danquah - Cambridge - 8
4. George Donnelley - York - 8
5. Joe Anyinsah - Torquay - 8

Many others tied -7 (including Zoltan Harsanyi).

Subotic and Arter both have 5 assists.

Average Rating

1. George Donnelly - York - 7.50
2. Charles Ademeno - Crawley - 7.43
3. Mike Brown - Forest Green - 7.42
4. Danny Mitchley - Newport Co - 7.41
5. Curtis Main - Woking - 7.41
6. Joe O'Sullivan - Woking - 7.36
7. Sam Smith - Rushden - 7.35
8. Stelios Nikolaou - Woking - 7.33

DL Nikolaou has played great, he's started 11 matches, splitting time fairly evenly with our loaner DL Miquel.

Contract Negotiations

I haven't really touched contract stuff yet... we have 13 players on full time contracts who expire this season.

-- ST Anson Cousins - I offer him a backup deal for $160/wk. I dunno why I want to see this guy succeed so much, maybe because he's our only reserve who has a chance.

-- DC Aswad Thomas - Willing to take a pay cut from $725->$650/wk, he'll take a big appearance fee but i'm ok with that.

-- MC Anthony Pulis - Willing to go from $950->$925 in exchange for a bigger appearance bonus. I try to lock him in for two years.

-- DC Mike Williams - I try to lock him in for longer at the same rate ($650/wk)

-- AMR Moses Ademola - Willing to take the same amount he makes now ($775/wk), I offer the extension.

-- ML Sam Sloma - willing to drop from $525->$500/wk. A solid rotation guy, sure thing pal.

MC Harry Arter - Willing to stay at $875/wk. I'm good with that.

GK Kevin Lynch - wants a raise from $160/wk to $600/wk. totally deserves it. I do try to increase his appearance bonus to get him to take $500/wk instead.

Contract Issues

-- DR Mark Ricketts - Wants a raise from $700->$775/wk. I hold off for now. Ricketts is my captain and 28 years old. I should probalby go out of my way to keep him, but Anane is really good back there too.

-- ST Zoltan Harsanyi - Wants a raise from $1100/wk to $1600/wk. He's just entering his prime and I need to keep him, but I can't commit to that just yet.

-- MC Chris Herd - makes $1100/wk, willing to stay for the same, but he really seems to be odd man out amongst O'Sullivan, Pulis, Arter and Herd. I need 4 guys at MC for sure... but I dont' want my highest paid to be the one that sees the least amount of time on the pitch. I hold off here now too.

Anane, Subotic, O'Sullivan and Martin are signed through next year.
