Jesse M: 3 - 38 yds, 1 TD

As you can see the Offense is performing as hoped for as we are averaging just under 260 yds per game on the ground and the passing game has been efficient when needed, though the 2 interceptions against Deer Valley were costly.

Shayne and Jamal D are turning out to be a nice 1-2 combo and in an effort to get another home run threat on the field I move Tywon from back Tailback to Wingback. This will prevent teams from keying on our sweep to the strong side. The question is, do we have someone who can pick up for Tywon in the secondary as he will not start at corner wnymore since he is starting on offense now.

Our game this past week answered that question and was the 3rd most exciting game I have coached in my 21 years in the sport. We traveled east to play Horizon, which had displayed a very good offense in their first 3 games and a fairly stout defense. For us I had no doubt we would be faster than them and could move the ball, but we had defensive questions of our own going in after the Deer Valley shellacking. I will report on that game tomorrow and will only say this. If you are a fan of the 1980's Don Coryell San Diego Charger style shootout, then this game is for you as the Offenses of both teams were on fire, though it would be a defensive play that would decide the outcome.
