So, to answer this: It is something that is in my list of things still to work on in the future.
Right now, the algorithm is designed to be very common and runs for all events, so I don't have any difference in variance of results for different sports. I have some mechanisms in place that can be edited via text file and should, in theory, affect the variance and be adjustable for different sports and events, but I have not had a chance to test them yet.
