Group 4

Week 10

Kansas- 66, Iona- 51
Kent St.- 71, Kennesaw St.- 62
Loyola Marymount- 60, Louisiana-Lafayette- 42

20% shooting from the three point line doomed Iona in this one, and Anthony Ireland had 22 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists as Loyola Marymount hammered Louisiana-Lafayette.

Final Group 4 Standings:

#1 Kansas 10-0 (+199)
#2 Loyola Marymount 6-4 (-4)
#3 Iona 6-4 (+116)
#4 Louisiana-Lafayette 4-6 (-79)
#5 Kent St. 3-7 (-59)
#6 Kennesaw St. 1-9 (-173)

Kansas wins the group and has a very good chance to be the #1 seed in the round of 128, especially with that point differential. Loyola Marymount gets second place in the group and an automatic spot in the round of 128 due to the fact that they swept Iona, winning the tiebreaker. But lets be honest, that 6-4 record along with a negative point differential could see Loyola Marymount as a very very low seed. In fact, I could easily see them being seed #116, which would be the lowest possible seed for second place finishers. Iona on the other hand, should have a great chance at a wildcard berth, especially with that high point differential. Kent St. was the most disappointing, I thought for sure they would sneak in and grab that second spot.
