37 games on the schedule this week, no feature games. Let's get to it:

North Carolina (Ariel Pryde) -- 15-10, 7-7, T-6th ACC.

2/16/28 vs. Georgia Tech (W 80-42).
2/19/28 vs. #11 Duke (L 100-93, OT).

A split for the Tar Heels, who are never happy about losing to their arch rivals, but they battled and took the game to OT at least.

Notre Dame (Al Mighty) -- 12-14, 5-9 T-11th ACC.

2/19/28 vs. #3 Virginia (W 83-76).

Just 1 game this week for the Fighting Irish, but what a game it was! A huge upset victory over a top 5 team. They still have a lot of work to do, but that's a sign of how good they can be.

North Florida (Felix Abel) -- 14-13, 7-5 T-2nd Atlantic Sun.

2/17/28 vs. Kennesaw State (W 101-71).
2/19/28 vs. UL Monroe (L 67-63).

Another split for the Ospreys, and with just 2 games left, the conference title is no longer a possibility. The best they can do is 2nd, but they could slip all the way to 6th if they lose both games next week.

TCU (Bee Mighty) -- 8-17, 2-12 10th (last) Big 12.

2/14/28 vs. Kansas (L 69-60, OT).
2/19/28 vs. Oklahoma State (L 63-54).

A pair of home 9 point losses for the Horned Frogs this week, 1 of them in overtime. It's clear that Coach Mighty will be job hunting next season, but the board seems content to let him finish the season. There's still a chance they could avoid the cellar.

#17 St. John's (Dean Hoo) -- 20-6, 10-4 T-2nd Big East.

2/15/28 at Hartford (W 106-71).
2/19/28 vs. #14 Villanova (W 68-44).

Solid week for the Red Storm, getting an easy non-conference win and a huge top 25 win over a good Villanova team. There's still some tough games coming up though.

Northwestern (Ess Vee) -- 17-9, 8-6 T-5th Big Ten.

2/16/28 at Maryland (W 66-58).
2/19/28 at Illinois (W 62-49).

2 good road wins for the Wildcats as they are playing their best basketball right now, winners of 5 in a row.

#6 Ohio State (Brett Hawkins) -- 19-7, 8-6 T-5th Big Ten.

2/16/28 vs. #1 Wisconsin (L 93-83).
2/19/28 at Michigan (L 92-85).

Bad week for the Buckeyes who lost 2 games, including a game to their arch-rivals, and they lose major ground in the conference race. Conference play hasn't exactly been kind.

Wichita State (David Ginsberg) -- 21-6, 12-4 2nd MVC.

2/14/28 vs. Colgate (W 80-64).
2/16/28 vs. Alabama A&M (W 68-53).
2/19/28 at Missouri State (W 71-57).

3 more wins, including 2 non-conference wins for the Shockers who continue to roll. They need some help though. With just 2 games left, they need to win both and somehow Loyola needs to lose both for the Shox to get a share of the MVC title. Otherwise, it looks like they'll be a 2 seed in the MVC tourney.

San Jose State (Thomas Shepard) -- 14-12, 6-8 T-7th Mountain West.

2/16/28 at Air Force (L 55-41).
2/19/28 vs. Wyoming (L 54-48).

The win streak is over for the Spartans who drop a pair this week. They still have a shot at the postseason though, especially if they can finish the regular season strong.

Bryant (Rob Nielsen) -- 13-15, 7-10 7th Northeast.

2/17/28 vs. Robert Morris (W 59-50).
2/19/28 vs. Central Connecticut (W 81-71).

2 solid wins for the Bulldogs, who have 1 game left, but it'll be a tough one. Still, an encouraging week.

Wagner (Will Brown) -- 19-8, 11-5 T-1st Northeast.

2/17/28 at St. Francis (NY) (W 81-63).
2/19/28 at LIU Brooklyn (W 77-57).

2 blowout wins for the Seahawks this week who have won 6 of their last 7 and remain in position for a Northeast regular season title with 2 games left.

Stanford (Benito Sanchez) -- 17-9, 8-6 T-4th Pac 12.

2/17/28 vs. Arizona State (W 92-55).
2/19/28 vs. #18 California (W 82-79, OT).

Great week for the Cardinal, who get a blowout victory and then an overtime victory over a ranked team. They have won 7 of their last 8.

#22 UCLA (Tim Shepard) -- 19-7, 10-4 T-1st Pac 12.

2/17/28 at Gonzaga (L 70-47).
2/19/28 vs. Oregon (W 86-45).

The Bruins split this week, on the opposite end of a pair of blowouts. The Oregon win broke a mini 2 game losing streak. With a 3 team race for the regular season Pac 12 title, they need to play their best basketball now.

Washington State (DeShawn St. John) -- 8-18, 2-12 12th (last) Pac 12.

2/17/28 at Colorado (L 60-28).
2/19/28 at Oregon State (L 88-66).

Yikes! 2 more losses for the Cougars, including an embarrassing 28 point effort at Colorado in which they shot 22.2%. They'll definitely want to forget that sooner rather than later.

Alabama (Roy Rogers) -- 16-10, 8-6 T-5th SEC.

2/16/28 vs. Vanderbilt (W 73-64).
2/19/28 at #16 LSU (W 60-52).

Great week for the Crimson Tide who are starting to click. 2 more wins including a road win over a top 25 team. That bodes well for selection Sunday, but still work to do.

Alabama State (Randolph Childress) -- 6-19, 5-9 T-8th SWAC.

2/19/28 at Alabama A&M (L 64-58).

Just 1 game for the Hornets this week, a loss, but a competitive loss at least.

Arkansas Pine Bluff (B.B. Gunn) -- 10-16, 7-7 T-5th SWAC.

2/14/28 at Jackson State (L 96-75).
2/19/28 at Grambling State (W 97-93).

A split for the Golden Lions who get a much needed victory on the road, but they are still underwhelming this season compared to projections.

Troy (Benton Gale) -- 17-11, 12-6 2nd Sun Belt.

2/17/28 vs. Miami (OH) (W 85-73).
2/19/28 at Arkansas State (L 74-72).

A split for the Trojans, but they lost ground with that loss to Arkansas State and will be kicking themselves for a while.

San Diego (Charlie Shocker) -- 15-14, 8-9 5th WCC.

2/17/28 vs. Santa Clara (L 87-63).
2/19/28 vs. San Francisco (W 77-61).

Another split for the Toreros who have split the last 3 weeks. They have 1 game left and can finish anywhere between 5th and 7th in the conference.

Here's a look at the national top 25 heading into the week of Feb. 21-27:

It's time for the bubble watch, and we start with the Overall Bubble Watch, and we have 1 of our teams represented.

Code:

North Carolina remains in the overall bubble watch, not helping their cause much from last week. They remain the last projected team in the field. Unfortunately, as far as the regular season goes, they really only have 1 more game to boost their RPI. They have 4 games left, and 3 of those games are against teams towards the bottom of the conference.

Now for the rest of the Bubble Watch. Remember, this is only for the NCAA Tournament. Here we go:

Locks: St. John's, Northwestern, Ohio State, Wichita State, UCLA
In: Stanford, Alabama

A few changes from last week. First, Stanford is off the Overall Bubble Watch and is now projected more safely in, but still not a lock. However, both Northwestern and Wichita State are now projected as locks. Alabama enters the field for the first time, they are now projected in.
