31 games on the schedule this week, with 2 being feature games. We'll start in the SWAC:

3/10/28- SWAC Semifinal - (8) Alabama State (Randolph Childress) vs. (5) Arkansas Pine Bluff (B.B. Gunn) -- 52.4% shooting for Alabama State was enough to advance, as they do so easily.

Final Score: (8) Alabama State- 94, (5) Arkansas Pine Bluff- 79

Now we move to the Pac 12:

3/10/28- Pac 12 Semifinal - (7) Stanford (Benito Sanchez) vs. (3) UCLA (Tim Shepard) -- The Bruins forced 18 Stanford turnovers which led to several easy buckets. Despite Stanford hitting 11 three pointers, UCLA made more field goals and free throws as they get the win.

Final Score: (3) UCLA- 81, (7) Stanford- 74

Now to the rest of the weekly recap:

North Carolina (Ariel Pryde) -- 19-13, 9-9 ACC.

3/8/28- ACC Second Round vs. (10) Pittsburgh (W 72-55).
3/9/28- ACC Quarterfinal vs. (2) #5 Duke (W 78-60).
3/10/28- ACC Semifinal vs. (6) #12 Louisville (L 72-51).

Overall, a successful tournament for the Tar Heels. It's always satisfaction when they beat their arch rivals. That win may have been enough to put them in the NCAA Tournament. If not they should be a high seed in the NIT Tournament.

Notre Dame (Al Mighty) -- 14-17, 7-11 ACC.

3/7/28- ACC First Round vs. (14) Wake Forest (L 86-81).

The Fighting Irish limp to a finish this season, taking a bad loss in the ACC Tournament. Their season is most likely over.

North Florida (Felix Abel) -- 16-14, 9-5 Atlantic Sun.

The Ospreys played their conference tournament last week, and are hopeful for a CIT bid.

TCU (Bee Mighty) -- 12-18, 6-12 Big 12.

3/8/28- Big 12 First Round vs. (8) Oklahoma State (L 76-53).

The Horned Frogs get hammered in their first game of the Big 12 Tournament. They end up winning 4 of their last 5 but it won't be enough. The season is over, and most likely Coach Mighty's tenure at TCU is over as well.

#6 St. John's (Dean Hoo) -- 27-6, 14-4 Big East.

3/9/28- Big East Quarterfinal vs. (9) Marquette (W 87-62).
3/10/28- Big East Semifinal vs. (5) Georgetown (W 108-103).
3/11/28- Big East Championship vs. (2) #9 Providence (W 80-71).

The Red Storm win their third Big East Tournament in a row, capping off another great season. They are in line for a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. At the very least they should be a #2 seed.

Northwestern (Ess Vee) -- 21-13, 8-10 Big Ten.

3/9/28- Big Ten Second Round vs. (8) Michigan (W 68-60, OT).
3/10/28- Big Ten Quarterfinal vs. (1) #1 Wisconsin (W 85-77).
3/11/28- Big Ten Semifinal vs. (12) Purdue (W 68-66).
3/12/28- Big Ten Championship vs. (2) #4 Minnesota (W 73-69, OT).

What a run for the Wildcats! They beat 2 of the top 4 teams in the nation, battle through 2 overtime games, and win an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Their RPI is good enough for a high seed, but 13 losses probably means a seed in the 9 or 10 line.

#10 Ohio State (Brett Hawkins) -- 22-9, 11-7 Big Ten.

3/10/28- Big Ten Quarterfinal vs. (12) Purdue (L 87-76).

Not a good tournament for the Buckeyes, who get upset in their first game by a double digit seed. This will definitely hurt their seeding in the NCAA Tournament, probably a seed between 4 and 7.

Wichita State (David Ginsberg) -- 22-8, 13-5 MVC.

The Shockers played their conference tournament last week and are hopeful for an NCAA bid, but realize the conference they play in may give them an NIT big instead.

San Jose State (Thomas Shepard) -- 19-14, 9-9 Mountain West.

3/8/28- Mountain West First Round vs. (11) Wyoming (W 73-46).
3/9/28- Mountain West Quarterfinal vs. (3) Colorado State (W 49-35).
3/10/28- Mountain West Semifinal vs. (2) Nevada (L 87-68).

The Spartans do pull 1 upset in the Mountain West Tournament, but can't get by a good Nevada team. They definitely won't be getting an at-large birth, but are hopeful of an NIT berth.

Bryant (Rob Nielsen) -- 13-17, 7-11 Northeast.

The Bulldogs played their conference tournament last week and their season is probably over.

Wagner (Will Brown) -- 21-10, 12-6 Northeast.

The Seahawks played their conference tournament last week and should be getting a call from the NIT.

Stanford (Benito Sanchez) -- 20-13, 9-9 Pac 12.

3/8/28- Pac 12 First Round vs. (10) Arizona State (W 63-53).
3/9/28- Pac 12 Quarterfinal vs. (2) Arizona (W 60-57).
3/10/28- Pac 12 Semifinal vs. (3) UCLA- feature game, highlighted above.

Not a bad run for the Cardinal, who get knocked out by an old nemesis in the semifinals. Winning 2 of 3, including an upset over Arizona, might be enough to get them into the NCAA Tournament. Even if it does, they won't be a very good seed. Possibly double digits.

UCLA (Tim Shepard) -- 22-11, 11-7 Pac 12.

3/9/28- Pac 12 Quarterfinal vs. (6) Colorado (W 88-67).
3/10/28- Pac 12 Semifinal vs. (7) Stanford- feature game, highlighted above.
3/11/28- Pac 12 Championship vs. (1) #19 California (L 74-68).

The Bruins fall just short of another Pac 12 tournament title, but will be safely in the NCAA Tournament. With double digit losses, it's likely their seed will be fairly low, maybe an 8 or 9 seed.

Washington State (DeShawn St. John) -- 10-21, 4-14 Pac 12.

3/8/28- Pac 12 First Round vs. (5) Oregon (L 61-60).

Gallant effort for the Cougars, who led by 8 at halftime against Oregon. They'll be kicking themselves for the loss. Another tough season for Coach St. John and you have to wonder how much longer it'll be before his seat warms up.

Alabama (Roy Rogers) -- 18-14, 9-9 SEC.

3/9/28- SEC Second Round vs. (8) Auburn (W 79-62).
3/10/28- SEC Quarterfinal vs. (1) #18 LSU (L 74-70).

The Crimson Tide played LSU tough but couldn't pull the upset. It's been a disappointing season, and they'll probably be looking at a mid to low seed in the NIT.

Alabama State (Randolph Childress) -- 11-22, 7-11 SWAC.

3/7/28- SWAC First Round vs. (9) Texas Southern (W 83-71).
3/8/28- SWAC Quarterfinal vs. (1) Jackson State (W 65-44).
3/10/28- SWAC Semifinal vs. (5) Arkansas Pine Bluff- feature game, highlighted above.
3/11/28- SWAC Championship vs. (10) Grambling State (L 77-68).

A great run for the Hornets, who came within 1 game of busting somebody's bubble. It's a shame they didn't play like this all season. Instead, they'll be sitting at home during the postseason tournaments, hoping momentum from a strong conference tournament pays off next season.

Arkansas Pine Bluff (B.B. Gunn) -- 13-19, 9-9 SWAC.

3/8/28- SWAC Quarterfinal vs. (4) Alabama A&M (W 91-82).
3/10/28- SWAC Semifinal vs. (8) Alabama State- feature game, highlighted above.

Tough season for the Golden Lions who drastically underachieve. They'll also be missing out on the postseason this year.

Troy (Benton Gale) -- 20-12, 14-6 Sun Belt.

3/11/28- Sun Belt Semifinal vs. (6) Florida Gulf Coast (W 76-75).
3/12/28- Sun Belt Championship vs. (1) #23 Georgia Southern (L 87-86).

The Trojans fall just short against a great Georgia Southern team in the Sun Belt title game. It'll be tough for them to steal an at-large bid since they don't play in a power conference, but they should be a lock for an NIT bid.

San Diego (Charlie Shocker) -- 15-16, 8-10 WCC.

The Toreros played their conference tournament last week and are likely done for the season.

Congrats to St. John's and Northwestern for winning their conference tournaments. Also give credit to Troy and Alabama State for their near misses. Besides that, it wasn't a great conference tournament weeks for our FOFC coached teams. That being said, I expect to see over half our teams making a postseason tournament, hopefully over 60%. Of the 19 FOFC coached teams, I think 12 or 13 should see postseason play.
