Week 14
Jacksonville 8-4 @ Atlanta 10-2
After starting the season 2-4 everyone thought that Jacksonville's reign of dominance was finally over. But since then they have strung together 6 consecutive wins and are now in command of the AFC south. Jacksonville has build their whole offence around the arm of the incomparable Howie Davidson. They have the #5 passing offence in the country, while at the same time, having the 31st ranked running attack. Their one sided approach has worked beautifully for them this year and our defense has its work cut out for themselves if they want to win today. On the defensive side of things, we match up really well. Jacksonville gives up 4.63 yards per carry, which is among the worst in the league. But their style of play forces other teams to have to go to the air, and when they do, the Panthers eliminate them, with some of the best pass defenders playing today.

Well Jacksonville found a way to slow down Leland. He managed just 2.2 yards per carry, though he did make his way into the end zone twice. What Jacksonville was not able to do was find a solution for our defense. Were it not for a 75 yard TD pass as the final gun sounded, the Jags would have had just 3 points. Instead they finish with 10 compared to our 17. With this win, we have officially clinched a playoff spot

Week 15
Atlanta 11-2 @ Jonesboro 4-9
The Saints are a poor team. We crushed them 4 weeks ago, and we are favored by 11, but Jonesboro's wins have come against some impressive competition this year. We must be careful to not fall into the same pit as those other teams that lost to them. This is a team that can come from out of nowhere and bite you.

Nixon wasn't particularly effective running the ball, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry, but he had 40 carries in the game. Our offence seemed content to do just good enough to get by as our defense completely manhandled the Saints at every turn. For the second time this year we shut out an opponent 10-0.

Several new minor injuries strike, but nothing that will miss any post season time. They will sit out for the rest of the regular season though.
