I scratch my head after reading the preview. "Not bad," I mumble, "but not right either."

I think to myself, as I get up to put my uniform on, they must have written this up halfway through the Spring. With Nights slump at the end of Spring and Gonzalez and Gazelle performing well below the others at their position, they won't be starting. And Mighty pitched great this Spring, but right now Nielsen will get the ball second. As for the 5th starter, I don't think I'm going to name one at this point. I'll use whomevers arm is ready to go when a game rolls around where a 5th starter is needed.

I glance quickly at the projected award winners and see:

BA: Jesse Burkett .354
HR - Aaron 44
RBI - Lajoie 120
Wins - Seaver 19
ERA - Tiant Sr. 3.47
Saves - Kronside 29

MVP - Rogers Hornsby
Cy - Tom Seaver

I walk out and head to the field to watch batting practice.
