8 December 2012
Diekirch 0-0 Rosport
GK: Oster
D: Lickes, Loose, Heinz, Bernard
M: Rakic, Pazos, Leweck, Ferreira
ST: Bozic, Codello
This was the kind of match you might expect on a muddy, slushy pitch on a chilly day in December. Neither team generated a good scoring chance, and there were only two shots put on goal the entire evening--both by our side.
Young Boys Diekirch isn't a bad side; they've been in the top half of the table all year, and they're fresh off a 2-0 upset of Rumelange. I'd have liked a result here, but I'll take the point--and a healthy club--and head back home.
I gave Claude Codello a chance to start tonight, a reward for his form in the Cup match last month. He was solid, but unspectacular--like almost everyone else on the pitch.
Here's a street in Diekirch's Old Town.
