Alliance Aischdall 1-6 Rosport

GK: Oster
D: Scholer, Loose, Maiget, Bernard
DMC: Battaglia
M: Rodrigues, Ferreira
AMC: Leweck
ST: Saboga, Laroche

I gave the 4-4-2 Diamond a spin away to Alliance Aischdall, and either (1) we caught them completely off guard or (2) we're simply a more talented side. Since they entered the match with a 3-3-10 record (to our 12-2-2), I think it's more the latter than the former.

We had four goals by the 16' mark, two by Carlos Ferreira. Jeremy Laroche also scored twice, and Roland Saboga and Alphonse Leweck found the net once each. Ferreira (9.5) was Man of the Match, with Laroche (9.5), Leweck (9.4) and Saboga (9.0) also rating exceptionally high. Kevin Maiget, who intercepted 14 passes, finished at 8.8.

Oddly enough, we had only one clear chance, but managed to score six times. We didn't dominate the match statistically as much as one might think, given the scoreline, but we put the ball in the back of the net, and that's how the score is determined.

Alex Pott ended up staying with Rosport, but almost as soon as the transfer window closed, he injured his elbow in a fall in training and will be out of action for about a month.

Alliance Aischdall plays near the town of Eischen, on the Luxembourg-Belgium border.
